Pagani Zonda F Where Quality and Performance Matter

The Pagani Zonda F first showed its distinction in the class of supercars during the Geneva Auto Show in 2005. This sports car has won acclaim as one of the fastest supercars in the world of racing.
It's important to remember that Pagani has extensive experience in the area of fibre construction, and without this expertise, the concept of the Zonda F would never have become a reality.

The introduction of this car places Pagani among only a handful of manufacturers of supercars that are willing to meet the challenge with more popular competitors including Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini and Aston Martin.

In spite of the fact that the Zonda F is a limited edition car, it will not have a special place in production but will have its place right next to the regular production models.

The C12-S Monza provided the inspiration for the design, but the manufacturer took the design and modified it into something more exquisite and in line with other Pagani models.
These modifications resulted in the birth of a car that was not as heavy yet faster and in possession of more power than the previous model.

One of the most important factors that helped contribute to the successful building of the new Zonda F was aerodynamics. The company opted for more traditional devices such as a single piece fixed wing that is able to obtain all the air it needs because of the new position of the mirrors.

The addition of a bigger splitter in the front and a diffuser in the back that contains dual wings for stabilisation creates an even greater downforce. The front of the car has a bigger air intake in order to assist in the process of cooling the engine of the powerful 12-cylinder engine.

Pagani Zonda F: Overview

The Zonda F is definitely in possession of more power than the Zonda S. even with its 555 horsepower 12 cylinder engine.
The Zonda F sports 602 horsepower in a Mercedes Benz engine with torque measuring just slightly over 560 pounds per foot; however, it is able to achieve maximum torque power at only 4000 rpm.

While there is little change in the speed of acceleration (0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds for a decrease of only one tenth of a second), the boost in power now allows the car to reach a maximum speed of 214 mph.

The Zonda F will retain the 6-speed transmission that was included in the previous model.
In addition Pagani is working with Brembo in an attempt to include carbon-ceramic brakes as optional equipment.
The inclusion of these new brakes will allow the driver to stop the car faster than he or she is able to do when using the more common metal disc brakes.

With carbon-ceramic brakes even a car travelling at 125 mph would be able to completely stop in only 4.4 seconds. This type of brakes only tends to have a longer life in spite of heavy braking action and do not have a need to warm up before they achieve their full stopping potential.

Pagani only plans to produce 25 units of the Zonda F none of which will be designed for driving in the United States. The company does have plans to build a model (currently referred to as the C9) that will be able to meet EPA and DOT regulations and thus be marketable in the United States.

The Zonda F acquired its name out of respect for Formula One race car driver, Juan Manuel Fangio and comes already equipped with an extra head light, various fog lights on the sides of the car, re-designed bodywork such as a new design for the spoiler in the rear, improved aerodynamics and re-designed mirrors on the sides.

Pagani Zonda Roadster F

The Pagani Roadster F first appeared at the Geneva Auto Show in 2006. Its design is similar to that of the Zonda coupe, but it includes a carbon fibre roof that the driver or someone else can easily remove and lightweight canvas curtains on the side. The projected production of the Pagani Zonda Roadster F is 25 units.

The current and proposed design changes allow the company to ensure continued sales in the race car market both in the United States and Europe. With some cars designed to be compatible in the United States, it is obvious the company sees the market there and will continue to meet the demands of racecar drivers throughout the world.
